Ben Waggoner
Climbing Manager

Ben wants nothing more than to spend as much time as possible climbing and teaching, setting, guiding, coaching... so others can enjoy climbing too. Ben has been climbing (bouldering, sport, trad and ice) for over 20 years and made it his profession in 2014 when he started guiding at Hueco Tanks State Park in West Texas before building a bouldering gym. Ben serves as the NWO Regional Coordinator for the Ohio Climber's Coalition.  
 

Ask Ben about... his epic bails in hailstorms off multipitch climbs in Colorado and New Mexico, as well as Guiding Services.

Laura Hoag
Partner | Operations Leader

Laura loves spending time outdoors, especially in the sunshine. Whether working in her garden, digging worms with her granddaughter, running trails or biking through the countryside, she loves wide open places and fresh air, especially when enjoying them with her family and friends. With an MS in Exercise & Health Studies and 30 years in corporate wellness, consulting and health care leadership roles, Laura values each person’s uniqueness and strives to help individuals find their healthiest self.

Jon Hoag
Partner

Jon pushes his body to its limit through running, cycling and triathlon, and enjoys hunting, archery, scuba diving and, of course, climbing. As Co-Owner of CycleWerks and over 25 years in retail service, Jon brings small business expertise and relationships with a likeminded community. He attained Eagle Scout rank and continues to support Scouting locally. He earned his Grand Slam, attending all four Scout High Adventure bases with wife, Laura, and son, Jason.

Rachel Hobson
Partner | Property & Financial Manager

Second to being a present Mom, strategy is Rachel's greatest passion. Rachel seeks possibility and thrives on seeing visions become reality. With a BA in Interpersonal Communications, and 14 years as a Professional Life Coach specializing in Relationship Coaching, she sees collaboration as an art. She is inspired by the collaboration climbing brings, how recreation nurtures diversity and peace. She loves a relaxing jog and tennis.

Dave Ledrick
Partner

Typical for someone who starts a climbing center, Dave has a wide range of interests and wishes he could pursue them all. He takes on projects that promote education and healthy living.  He has served as the BSA council physician, Tsunami Swim club president, and founded the MedWAR adventure race series. Dave is always looking for a game to play, a book to read, or a road to bike.

Jamie Monagan
Partner

Jamie had this vision since a whitewater rafting trip in high school, where on the bank of the Salmon River in Idaho, he saw a family rock climbing together. Jamie loves climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, snowboarding and everything outdoors. He has a business management degree from Fordham University and 19 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Nick Mossing
Partner

Nick is a father to three great kids, avid cyclist, and craft beer enthusiast. Climbing mixes fitness and problem solving, two of his favorite things!  A NW Ohio native, Nick started his career as an Air Force Officer and lived in 6 different states before settling back in the area in 2009.  Nick’s day job is Solution Architect at Microsoft, but also is a cycling coach and president of the Maumee Valley Wheelmen cycling club.

Mike Pollock
Partner

Mike's built businesses, buildings, houses, furniture, cabinets… and now a climbing center. An engineer by trade but an adventurer on mountains, Mike brings a wealth of wisdom to the team while driving motivation to summit and “send” the problems we face. His primary passions are God, family, church, career, and recreation (in order). He is a true family man and you are sure to meet his wife, kids and grandkids climbing at Adventus!

Meridith Moran
Partner | Social Media & Groups Coordinator

Meridith is NOT an avid climber, but she is always up for an adventure, opportunities to meet new people and any reason to support FFT (Forced Family Time) with her husband and four children. Meridith has a degree in Public Health and a strong background in Health Education. She has 15+ years of experience and gratitude for working in the Toledo area community, worksites and schools, and endless support for the 419!

Matt Moran
Partner

Matt is new to climbing.  He was fortunate to meet two great people, Jamie and Rachel, who took him climbing for the first time.  It was amazing and now he can’t wait to have somewhere local to climb and meet great people.  Matt is a pharmacist and works as a medical scientist in the biotechnology industry.  He loves spending time with his family and working out.
